We have an extraordinary partnership this year wit

We have an extraordinary partnership this year with Olympic slalom ski racer Erin Mielzynski. Erin is amazing because she understands life is not just about winning, but rather the journey and who you bring along with you. She understands that as a community, we need to lift each other up and inspire one another every day to be our best. A true ambassador for the ski racing community. We are collaborating with her on the bib project: “A Ripple of Light.” This project is to help female athletes feel supported and stay in their sport. The way it works, female athletes go to Erin’s Instagram page and click on the link in her bio ( https://tinyurl.com/yck4a3n5 ), fill out the simple application (have fun with the questions), and we send the athlete a training bib. This is the same training bib Erin will be wearing on her training days. On the front of the bib is Abby in the start gate her first-year racing and on the back, Erin is in the start gate overlooking Switzerland. We encourage the athlete to wear it for their training season and be inspired to spread their light to other athletes. The bibs are 100% free, and there is no age requirement. These bibs are for ambitious ski racers or someone who is passionate about skiing. The intent is to promote and bring together female athletes with a common bond and help send the message that the light they create can have a momentous effect on everyone around them.

Posted @withregram • @rabbithillalpine This season our athletes dealt with a lot of changes. We are thankful our team was able to hit the slopes and give our racers a bit of normalcy. Every week this year's Abby Award recipient showed up with a smile on her face and passion in her heart for skiing!
Congratulations to Reata Walter! Your effort and enthusiasm for skiing and encouragement of your teammates embodies all the Abby Award stands for.
About the Abby Award:
The Abby Award is a snowflake medallion which is presented to a U10 level ski racer in each participating club across Canada. This award is for the athletes who show up in the morning with a smile on their face. They try their best and give 110%, do what the coach asks, never complains, and cheers on their teammates.
It is meant for athletes who are there because they want to have fun and they truly love the sport of skiing.
Abrielle “Abby” Wunsch, was a high spirited 9-year-old not unlike any other grade 4 kid. She loved to have fun and ski with team with a lot of old friends, but also met new friends, new coaches and continued her love for skiing. She was super excited about the new challenges the season would bring. Sadly, an accident on December 6, 2015 , would take Abby's life.
